checkboxes and Windowblinds

I'm using the latest edition of Windowblinds and Vista SP1 Home Premium and currently, I've encountered a persistant problem with checkboxes within skinned applications. For example, in an email client I have a "checkbox" column and when my system is themed with a Windowblinds theme/skin, the "checkboxes" do not appear in the column. In another APP on my system, deep in the program options dialog interface, you need to tick a checkbox to initiate an option - but - the "checkbox" does not appear and so I can't tick/untick the option. Afterwards, if I remove any Windowblinds skin and revert back to the traditional Windows interface, all "checkboxes" appear very normal. I would like for this to be fixed. Everything else with Windowblinds seems to be running very well in Vista so far!

Is it the same on all WindowBlinds skins or just certain one's?  Is the skin you see this happening on a 'Vista' ready skin?

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on "System info" then click the "Copy text" button. Paste that info here.

I tried many skins and the "problem" is there for all I've tried. I downloaded "Vista ready" skins from the website and the problem persists with those as well...

Is there something I can "change" in this dialog interface in SkinStudio?

Sounds like a bug between the emai client and WB...one or the other would need work done before it would work. :NOTSURE:

You could try excluding both those apps from being skinned.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on the Settings tab. Select "Change the look of an app" tab and then "Add per application setting". Locate the exe for the program you wish to exclude and select it. In the screen that appears put a check mark in "Ignore this application and do not skin it". Click OK and that should do it.

Was the skin created with SKS5 or 6?

This does not work either. That was the first thing I did when I noticed there were problems. You see, when I configure Windowblinds to NOT skin an APP - that's OK - in general, but problems with "checkboxes" still show... it seems that Windowblinds overrides the application's internal settings even if I say "DO NOT SKIN IT"...

I think it was done with 5 (not sure). For example, one of my favorite skins is K-TEK from Tiggz. But I've tried many... and the problem persists even when I use the setting mentioned here.

Is there anything that can be done from my end - or - must I wait for a "fix"?
