A mod idea: the Terrans (Earth) as a minor race....

Okay , I am no mod designer, but this came to me and I just thought it might be a cool idea

If you wanted to play a game wihtout the Terran Alliance in it, if there could be a mod that would make them at least a minor race in the game, using the Sol system as it's home of course

Any thoughts on this?

just edit the RaceConfig.xml and add them at the very bottom or move the terrans from the top to the bottom by copy and past.

Hey, that's funny -- X-Worlds does implement a huge set which i mentioned elsewhere in these forums as 'Minoring the Majors' & majoring the previous group of XW-minors such as the Ducks who now can play as the Mighty Ducks against the "Yoringer", etc!

In fact, there is bunch of new Total-Conversion RC.xml(s) already zipped into version 05-F to be uploaded this Monday.

AFAIK the Sol-System, i doubt it would get attached to a Minor though since any of the systems found in the Customplanets.xml file are hard-coded for Majors -- only.

BUT... freeman43 "solution" wouldn't work since there are a number specific lines to edit before they'd be all valid; CivType and Customization Points being just two of those important code-calls.

thats what i do to make my own minor race. i just never did it with a major one.

i think he is trying to make it more time realistic becase we don't have FTL drive we are some what a minor race.

LOL, no I don't hate "being human"

Just thought it would be an intresting spin on things if Earth was a minor race instead of a major one
