Duplicate buildings with modded tech tree TA

I made a modified Terran Alliance tech tree to use to figure out how to use the editors to make my own. It was just a test so I only added 1 tech, Super Trade, to the standard tree. I renamed the tree Trader and changed the Internal name to Trader_TechTree.

When I try out the tech tree with a custom race I get these duplicate buildings. For example I get market center twice in the building list it is the same with other structures.

Looks like you made a copy of the planet improvements as well.

Where did you place these copied files anyhow? Depending on where you place them, it could either overwrite or add to the existing list (I too once had duplicate stuff because of me modding).

Could you look in the mods folder you're using and try to see if anything exists in the folder \Data\PlanetImprovements?

Thanks, that was the problem. I thought I had cleaned out that mod folder but apparently I had missed the planet improvements file. :)

I normally make a copy of the default folder (and make other changes) when I start a new project. I keep it empty so I can start quickly. You might want to do the same.

The only stuff you need to do is: copy the default folder, rename the copy (so it looks different then "copy of default"), and then edit the "ModDescription.xml" so the description says something like "This is my wicked mod!" so you can feel more impressed about yourself when you test it in game.
