Bootskin no longer appears in Impulse apps list

Bootskin v1.09 did show in Impulse within the past few weeks.  But I can't find it now.  Bootskin version 1.05 and iirc 1.02 and 1.03 resulted in a BSOD on my system, but I wanted to try 1.09 today to see if that issue was resolved.  However, as indicated, I can't seem to find it via Impulse now, and I've uninstalled Stardock Central since I'm now using Impulse.

Any pro tips on where/how to obtain the updated Bootskin?

Bootskin isn't available on Impulse anymore.  I don't think there was an actual update to Bootskin. I believe it was a version number changed for testing with Impulse.

Thanks for the response. If/when I replace my motherboard (and thus, the system BIOS), I'll try out Bootskin again. I do wish Bootskin were updated/patched to work on my PC. If there's anything (e.g., a .bin copy of my BIOS) I can do to help this effort, please let me know.

At this time there are no plans to update Bootskin for XP. There were some trials going on with the developers to see if a BootVista would be possible but at this time I believe it is backburnered. If BootVista only works for some versions of Vista and not others (or other circumstances like this) it will not be released I am afraid.

On the Bootskin download page there are multiple versions you can always try out. Please know that they are all at your own risk as the software is not supported.

Seabass, out of curiosity, does Stardock have plans to support the current version of Bootskin for XP at least through the next version of ThemeManager?

Sorry garden but we haven't officially supported BootSkin for years now. We still provide it as a free download (multiple versions) but we don't support or update BootSkins at all. No plans are announced at this time for the XP or versions at this time. Sorry for the trouble.
