Issue with OD System Tray

I have a problem with my Object Dock, in a earlier version (1.50v) i had a Dock with only the System tray Function, when i actualized to 1.90v, the dock appeared but it had nothing on it, so i erased it and created a System Tray Tab on my Docked Tabs, But it didn't work either!, i check the Troubleshooting options and the "Disable System Tray Function" Is unmarked!, so it doesn't make any sense! Can anyone help me please?

Windows XP (By the way, Vista Sucks), and i don't know what's "32 or 64" part, i'm guessing Bits, so 32, if it isn't, then tell me where to get the number.

It should work if you are using a login with Administrator rights. Won't work if you're using a limited user login unless you start up Object Dock by using the right click "run as" option and use an
Admin login and password there.

Unfortunately the only thing I know of for sure is the Admin / Limited user thing. I do see other posts of people having trouble with it, but I don't see anything regarding how they might have resolved it. Did see one post where McAffee Antivirus was blocking an Object Dock installation, so if you want you might try temporarily disabling your Internet connection and antivirus just to see if you can create a systray then, but it seems like a long shot.

Probably the best thing to do would be start up a ticket with Stardock Support WWW Link

It would be nice if we could start up a post of something like "How I got My Systray working" with some answers in it. It seems to be a fairly common question, but sorely lacking on public answers. I'm sure a lot of the time / most of the time it works right up front, did for me.

to be fair stardock support is completely useless..
I was having the same problem with objectdock plus 1.90 as well
i tried updates i tried beta versions(the last of which was done about 4 months ago)
i had an issue where it wouldnt show systray or show my docks on multile virutal terminals.
(running bblean) i sent numerous requests to support and i got NO responses, i sent one to sale and they said i'd need to go through tech supprot i said sure and that was the last i heard of it.

With this particular persistent complaint not a single stardock tech rep has ever posted a solution.
all the posts and responses are "are you admin" "is it xp or vista" "have yuo rebooted" the typical crap thats been said on EVERY post of this nature since time in memoreum..
What I would love is for a single objectdock dev to read and post on here WHY the 1.50 version handled the systray and virtual teminals fine and the 1.90 doesnt. it strikes me as completely odd that a shell replacement customizing company would be so slack towards compatibility with other replacement shells. (darkstep litestep bblean etc)
And even more so that they would simply not respond to any of these posts with fixes or even update/create a wiki of common problems so the same crap doesnt happen again.

*im ver frustrated that i paid for a product and my only recourse is to ues a REALLY old version of the product to get it to function correctly.

all in all i'm prolly not going to renew/purchase anything else from this company as it seems once you've paid they no longer care about fixing anything.

Try this, if you have not already:

1. Open "configure dock"
2. Click on "my docks"
3. Click on "create new tabbed dock"
4. Click on "add tab"
5. Click on "add a system tray tab"
6. Remove all other tabs (if desired)

As long as you are logged on as administrator, and "Disable System Tray Function" is unchecked, you should be fine.

If not, try installing Impulse and using it to update ObjectDock Plus.
