Crashing to Desktop when I end Turns

from Stardock Forums

My game loads and the campaign starts up fine.  But when I click turn to end the turn and start the next one the game crashes, I get the report error or don't repair windows screen, and it crashes to desktop.

I'm running a Compaq Presario upgraded with a AMD Opteron 185 2.6 ghz dual core, a nvidia 8600 gts, 4 gig ddr ram, turtle beach montego ddl.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. You can find the file in the following location:

My Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug will be erased and recreated for the new session.

I'm at the office right now, I will tonight.

I did manage to get it running at lunch. I changed from full screen to windowed mode and disabled auto-save.

My game is doing the same thing wont let me finish more than three or four turns before it crashes here is my file:

ALso, those mobile intel cards are netorious for getting HOT, so turn off some of the more intensive processes (map glow and character outlines) and see if that helps the situation.

I had a similar problem and changed the turns before autosave from 0 turns to 1. It seems to crash everytime you click on the end turn button when the turns before autosave is set to 0.
