SR2 Reloaded on SDCentral?

I suspect I know the answer to this question, but will SR2 Reloaded be made available on SDCentral?

I was able to purchase the game with tokens but it appears it requires Impulse to download.  I'm running Win2K (which SR2 supports but Impulse does not).  So I can buy the game...I just can't download it :(

Based on the sound of crickets chirping in here, the answer to my question is no, SR2 Reloaded is not going to be available on SDCentral...and Impulse is not going to support Win2K.

So how do I download the game I purchased?

(Note: I submitted a support ticket but I haven't heard back from that either.)

We don't plan to support any new titles on SDC at this time.

There may be a way to get Impulse to run on Win2000, however.  Please note that this is not tested, will not be supported, and may not work at all.

You will need to install Microsoft's .NET 2.0 framework and BITS 2.0 packages on your PC; you will also need Internet Explorer 7. Assuming the Impulse installer doesn't deny you, in theory, this should allow Impulse to function.

If not and you're unable to upgrade to Windows XP, please contact sales@stardock.com for a refund.

Thanks for the response Yarlen. Unfortunately, I don't think IE7 will install on Win2K. Ah well, I knew this day was coming. Impulse installs fine and attempts to run, but there's a dll(s) it requires that isn't supported on Win2K.

As far as XP goes, it's more of a case of 'unwilling' than 'unable'. MS lost me as a customer some time ago. I've been keeping a Win2K dual boot for games for as long as I could. So if you guys ever decide to support linux (yea, I know, it ain't happening :)), I'll be back.
