Game Freezing, Graphics Problem

I'm using the 3870 OC edition card and when the game goes to menu it freezes the game and displays the "VPU Recover" dialog box/error. I resolved this by disabling VPU Recover through ATI CCC but now when I restart my computer and go to the game it freezes and the screen goes black and I get an error ati2vag is stuck in an infinite loop with the blue screen. This is the first time I ever had a problem with my graphics card and any game. How can I fix this so I can play? I don't have this issue with any other games I'm currently running.

Visiontek 3870OC Edition @ 800Mhz
3GB RAM
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Mobo
Intel Core2Duo 2.66

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. You can find the file in the following location:

My Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug will be erased and recreated for the new session.

Can you update to the latest version of the game and see if it is still happening.  If so, repost your new debug.err file.
