"The serial number you have entered is not recognized"

So today I bought Rainslick: Precipice of Darkness on Impulse, my order was processed etc. etc. and it's on my games list, but when I try to install it I get that message. Serial number not recognized only serial numbers provided by Stardock are valid (who provided this one then? The tooth fairy?).

I've tried manually re-entering the serial number and get the same message, had a confirmation of the number sent by email and it's the same number.. so what's up? Frankly I'm not impressed by Impulse thus far, not only do we have regional lockouts, now apparently I don't have access to a game I just paid for!

Well for some reason retyping the entire serial number manually made Impulse recognise it as valid. Weird.

We have found an issue with the serial numbers for this game.  There was an import issue with the serial numbers into our database.  They all have a space at the end in our database which is causing the issue.

If you have this issue please go to the registrations in Impulse (click on the top right on the registrations icon) and select the registration for Rain-Slick.  Click change, then remove the space, then update.  You should be able to download your game at that point going forward.

I have been getting the same problem with my copy of Gal Civ 2, I bought it at future shop back when it first came out and I just recently installed it so I could get the expantions but now when I try to update it it keeps saying that my serial is not recongnized and it shows up as invalid in my updates menu.

*EDIT* And great now I can't play the expantions because neither Impulse or Stardock Central will reconginze my Serial Number as valid
