IMPULSE problem

TA isn't listed in "My Games"

Well, I installed Impulse and was looking to download TA 1.95....

However, TA isn't listed in "My games".

I purchased TA. Go ahead, check.

Why isn't it there?

I had a number of issues with SDC for years. Just about a month ago the issues were resolved.

Now it looks like I'm going to have to deal with Impulse issues...

Please put 1.95 on SDC.

Also please explain why you can't buy on Impulse with tokens and why Political Machine 2008 is not in SDC.

Ok, I thought I saw that it was. Thanks.

The bigger question is:

I purchased TA. Why isn't it listed in "my games' in Impulse?
(It is listed as a purchased game on SDC)

Does it show on the registrations page in Impulse (the little window icon in the top right)?

Something about that hack used to display TotA in SDC is causing it to have issues with Impulse . . . I know they're ironing it out as we speak.

Because tokens are being phased out - the other developers/software companies didn't like the token system. You can still use them for Stardock titles and ones already on Total Gaming, but newer releases from other companies will not take tokens.

why Political Machine 2008 is not in SDC.

Because it's designed to use the multiplayer interface with Impulse. SDC doesn't have a multiplayer matcher, so it's logical to use Impulse for it.

The Impulse store will not be supporting tokens; you'll need to spend them through the TGN website.

Impulse will be replacing SDC eventually; while it'll be longer for our customization software, games are going to start going over to Impulse completely much sooner due to their use of Impulse Reactor and the multiplayer matchmaking functionality (including PM08, now).

I looked. It's not there.

The only ones listed are Altarian Prohecy, GalCiv, and galciv2. (There is no seperate listing for DA, TA, etc)

AP has "none" under the expiration date.
GC and GC2 have "invalid" listed under the expiration date.

AP has my email listed, GC and GC2 do not.

I had 2 or three accounts under SDC. (I moved and changed emails a couple of times) So, someone in SD Tech support combined all of the different records into one account, and everything started working fine for me on SDC.

I assumed this correction would have carried through to Impulse...

But that would not necessarily explain why TA isn't showing up.

OK. I went back to Impulse and registered TA (even though I already registered TA via SDC)

Now TA is showing up in "my games"

Thank for your help everyone.

For me, Impulse sees all the games I have from Stardock, GalCiv2, both expansions, and even Sins which I have...but it told me Dark Avatar wasn't installed (which it is, I can launch it from the desktop), but I let it do it again anyway. Then it told me TA would need to be uninstalled and installed again.....ok...I decide to go forward with that, now it tells me that files are missing for uninstall, I've already done an earlier update for TA through SDC, so I have to say at this point I'm not that crazy about Impulse, and kinda dread when all the game updates are done through it. With SDC I've just gone and got my updates and carried on. Needless to say, I still don't have the update....sigh....

SDC's handling of expansions wasn't very good, so Impulse may have trouble recognizing SDC installations of DA or TA. It should be sorted in last night's Impulse update, so if you're still having issues, contact support@stardock.com.
