Do I need to redownload D.A and TotA?

Hi everyone.

I'm a very happy owner of the complete GalCiv2 collection, but I only own GalCiv2 on CD, the two addons are downloaded and purchased through StarDock.

However I recently had to format my computer but, in fear I'd need to download the add-ons, I copy and pasted the complete Stardock directory. But it doesn't seem to be working abd I have very little of this months download limit left, and I fear if I have to redownload the two add on's, it will cause my d/l speed to be shaved to 256kb (really...).

Is there any possible way for me to add the games to my registry again without having to reinstall and download the addons?

Thanks for your time.

But it doesn't seem to be working

The registry entries aren't explicitly needed to just run the game, but they would be needed if you later want to update, since the registry is how SDC/Impulse tells what's installed. More likely (if you're getting a message about the machine sid not matching) you just need to delete the sig.bin files and reactivate, which I don't believe cares about the registry entries. After that, you'll probably get some warnings that DL and DA couldn't be found when you try to run TA, but IIRC those can be ignored and it'll work fine anyway.

If you have to reformat in the future, be sure to archive any Stardock games you don't have retail disks for. It's a nice feature that lets you, among other things, install Stardock games on machines that don't have internet access. Or reinstall them on freshly reformatted machines without having to download them again.

I can't remember how to do it in Stardock Central, but in Impulse, just go to My Games and use the right click context menu on the game you want to archive and select archive.
