Register Problems

Okay, well I've just bought Sins, and I really like it! but I would like it even more if I could play online with others. I follow the instructions and made my account, yet I can't access the Online Lobby because I get prompted that I need the most current Update, so, I go to the Main Menu screen and click update and it takes me to the Sins Home page. Now, I've already registered and I've registered my copy, it won't let me download the update because it says I haven't registered my copy, so I type in my Serial number and it just sits there, I've done it twice, and i don't have any other accounts on the other sites, Ie: Stardock.. I don't know what to do, Is this a glitch? Has anyone else encountered this? All I wanna do is play online, but I can't.. how can this be fixed?

For this support will need to see the serial number and account info. However that cannot be put up on the forums for any reason. Please start a ticket with us at support@stardock.com and we will handle it for you right away. If you haven't tried it already try downloading the software through our new system Impulse.

You can get it from here: http://impulsedriven.com/about.asp

If you haven't tried Impulse is it a free download and update service for Stardock Products.

I have got a problem. I wanted to get the updates, so i entered my details and the code on the manual to create an account, got the e-mail to activate my account. But then it said i didn't put in the code, so i did it again and it said the same thing. can this be fixed. is there any other place to get updates

Grab impulse from the link in Seabass's reply above. If the reg page is not working properly, you can use impulse to register the game *and* get the update.

There is an update on this matter listed here.

To save you the time of the click it reads:

An update to the serial number system caused multiple Sins of a Solar Empire registrations to fail. This has now been tested and corrected so if you are one of those people please try your activation again. Many of you that wrote into support were already told to try again using Impulse. This likely would have only corrected about 50% of those issues so look at this message to try the activation again.

If you try it after this posting and still have problems email us at support@stardock.com.

Good to hear!

Also some new emails are coming in so I wanted to clarify something really quick.

The serial number should be 35 digits long including the dashes.

XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Thus six sets of digits and letters.

Also please know that the 0s are always the number 0 and never the letter O.

Should this be a retail copy and not a digital download and it contains something different than that or the serial number is missing all together there isn't anything support or sales can do for you in that regard. The responsibility lies at the feet of the retailer that sold it to you and nearly all of them are able to exchange for the same title.

This is not to say we don't want to help so if you are just not sure please email us at support@stardock.com. I'm scrambling as fast as I can to clear these tickets so please be patient as any reply will cause the ticket time to reset.

I just get ´disconnected from Ironclad online´ with or without my firewall on.

I tried entering my information in the ´create account´ box, that didn't do anything either.

This is a retail copy. It doesn't give me a message saying the user name or password is wrong or anything like that, apparently it just doesn't want to connect to ironclad.

The Iron Clad network isn't the same account as the Stardock one. It is ment only for online play and requires you make another account for it. If you still have troubles after this please contact info@ironcladgames.com.
