Tab names

I cannot seem to get the tab names to show without showing the icon names.  I would like the icons to have mouse over names and the tab names to show.  Configuration?

TIA

Open dock settings. Go to 'Size and Appearance'. On the bottom there is a dropdown list for 'Entry Names' and there is an option to 'show no labels'. That will turn off the names when you mouseover the icons.

Is that what you are looking for?

So you are "missing" tabs? (Application, learning, Office Utilities, tray)

It sounds like a text problem Zu. You may need to make a font adjustment under "Adjust the font used for text on tabs". Reduce the font size here until you can see the tab's full name, maybe size 8, then gradually increase the font size one point at a time to an acceptable size.

Certain fonts sizes, the physical length of the tab meaning you may have to pull it open a bit further to the left or right, the length of the tab's name and tab's style causes the text on the tab's name to word wrap and literaly abbreviate itself, in this case what you'll see is something like "App..." instead of the full name "Applications".

I hope this is what you're trying to do...

Good Luck;

I tried to duplicate the problem. The text is there even when you make it really big, so i adjusted the tab size and the words disappeared just like the screenshot. Try lowering your tab size and see if the titles come back.
