Problems with CA security system

When i downloaded the update 1.05, CA Anti-spyware and firewall changed the file from a .EXE to a .EFW file, which can't do anything except take up space. how do you change it back?(changing name so .EXE exists at end of file name does not work!!!)

If you have your folder "options" set to "hide extensions of system files" and then rename the file to a .exe what you've actually done is renamend the file to

eg. SINS.efw.exe which of course will not work


To make sure that you haven't done that, go to folder >> options >> view (and make sure you have "hide system files" and "hide known extensions?" UNCHECKED) then you will be able to ensure the file has only the ONE (.exe) extension.
