What are the rules covering experience points picked up from Anomalies?

 :)

Well, I just had the announcement about discovered log books and the experience

they give sink in.

Does this experience just come to the ship collecting the anomaly?

I`m gaming Gal Civ 2 TA presently.

Would you need to use a larger ( than tiny/small ) ship to collect anomalies

to upgrade to a usable war ship?

Are there any other rules covering experience collected?

Thankx,

Prof.

Yes, the experience is for the ship that finds the log books.

Re upgrading to a usable ship, that depends on what hull sizes you like to build. You can always make a one-off design to upgrade a given surveyor if it builds up so much experience that you want it in combat.

IMO, there are enough other benefits to anomoly-hunting that your survey ships should be designed with surveying in mind (for me, that means cheap but still fairly fast with some life support).

Your initial flagship is actually a medium-hull, so you can upgrade that to a decent warship later. You could upgrade it right when you design your first medium-hull warship and have it the next turn.
