error message

object dock won't work :(

i just upgraded to vista. i install object dock but when i try to run it it gives me this error message:

"ObjectDock: Dll/Hook Failed To Load. (cbt) Please reinstall and reboot"

i did reinstall and reboot sereral times but i still get the same error message. at first i thought  some permissions program might be blocking the dll file so i diables the vista UAC, windows firewall, comodo firewall pro and comodo safe surf. after that it still didn't run.

(i use vista on an HP pavilion laptop)

Please help!!!

comodo firewall pro and comodo safe surf
End of quote

If my memory serves me right - both of those programs do not just go off when you turn it off. Plus why would you run 2 firewalls? I would uninstall that comodo stuff and do a cleanup of the regs. Then restart the system and try again to reinstall OD. Be sure when you unistall OD that the folder is removed from program files and program data. Program data will show up in C drive after you switch the show hidden files and folders. [with a explorer window open press the alt key and a menu will appear at the top of the window - go tools/folder options]
After you have done a good look that all the folders I speak of are gone.Do a restart and reinstall OD. Be sure there is nothing else running such as a process guard type program of sort.
Plus how are you installing this? SDC or Impulse?

ok i got object dock installed now. when i hover over an icon it magnifies (which it wasn't doing before).

and when i click an icon it glows. but nothing opens! instead i get the error message

"windows can not access the specified davice path or file. you may not have the appropirate permissions to access the item".

all my firewalls and the vista UAC is diabled but i still get the error.

(i installed it using the usual installation file : obectdock_freeware.exe

if i right clock the "my computer" icon in the dock and select open i get the error message : "the RPC server is unavailable".
