Returning Armada Question

I'm on a huge map and i've got about 30 planets. I researched RA and every once in a while when I loose ships RA gives me new ones (usually carriers ugh) at assorted planets with phase stabilizers. At least I think it's the PS that they are being sent to.

The problem on a large map is lag. I also hate having to wheel my mouse so much. So I was thinking I'd scuttle all my phase stabilizers and place 1-2 at each planet 1-2 deep along my frontier. I was wondering however, if I have only 1 gate does that slow down the RA or can I get new units at the same speed but in a focused area?

Thanks for your help!

They enter in per each gate so you will need the same number of gates to get the same ammount of ships.

Thanks KillerSOS. I've almost got it up on a game at home but I'm currently at work. Some follow up questions:

1. Is RA returns based on ship deaths or does it just regularly clock in "new" ships to your fleet?

2. Is there a time frame of ship deaths in which a single gate would phase in a certain amount of new ships? What I mean is:
A)if 5 ships die in a single minute does RA bring those 5 ships in over time or do I need five gates?
B) Do the 5 ships get added to a "pool" in which the gates will return ships at a specified rate?
C) If so, is there a limit?

Once you have RA up each phase gate will import new ships based on the gate's antimatter, gate's ability cooldown (about five minutes), and fleet capacity. You will not get any ships at all if you have not researched extra fleet capacity. However, within those constraints, RA will import ships...forever...

ahh so for RA to work I also need fleet capacity. Thanks for the tip!
