new dock style

Hi,

first of all i'm apologizing for my english not beeing that good, i'm from germany.

It's kinda hard for me to describe what i want, but I'll give it a shot.

I would like to put a new Folder (or Icon) in my dock. And when you hover over it (the mouse beeing over the icon) I want it to automatically open a few new icons around the one I'm hovering over.
That it kinda looks like the stardock originally weather applet.

I want it for the use of something like that:

originall icon: Office
When hovering over it should appear: Word,  Excel,  Powerpoint, ....

I hope you understood what i meant and can help me in any way.

Object Dock Plus has flyout menus built in, which work exactly like the weather flyout - you simply choose what icons you want and what programs you want in the flyouts you set up.

There is no way to make the free version do it, however.

Here's how you add a flyout menu to your dock: 1) Right-Click on the dock. 2) Select "Add" then select "New Custom 'flyout menu' ". Then the "Dock Entry Properties" dialog box will appear, and you simply set it up the way you want! You can choose a folder for it to point to, or set it up with customized shortcuts, etc.

hi,

there is still a little problem.
the menus wont appear when i hover over the icon, they only appear if i click on them.
and than only 1 appears and i have to use the up or down arrow to get to the next one, but i want all the shortcuts to appear at once like in the weather applet.

Yeah, the stacks docklet might be what yer looking for. I love it, I'm not sure if it has a hover/display feature or not though, I think it's just click. But it will display all subs that you have in that particular folder/directory.
