Interesting problem, see if you've encountered it before...

So I've had SoaSE for over a month now, and have enjoyed it thoroughly throughout. However, just the other day I encountered a bewilderingly odd problem that had not appeared before... opposite button disorder.

Basically about an hour into a game the planet buttons either stop working or link to other ones. This naturally draws the game to an immediate close from my perspective as I can no longer build ships, build orbiting structures or improve planet conditions. I have no idea why it happens, or why it only just started to strike my games. So I guess my question is: has anyone else run into this peculiar glitch? A run-through of available postings suggests not, so I'd love an explanation and solution to my problem.

I am up-to-date on patches.

I have seen something... similar to this, it happens when the game starts to lag severely. You click a button, but then move your mouse and it hits a button your mouse scrolls over.

IF you are experiencing severe lag when this occurs, try using the keyboard short-cuts. Or hover the mouse until you get confirmation that the command went through.

The explanation could also be simple random bitflipping in your computer. Even the stablest of computers sometimes crashes when an electron jumps out of its channel and collides with a different circuit. It's fairly rare, but I've had stuff in my computer go wonkabillically haywire through no fault of the computer. Heat and dust buildup often have a lot to do with it occurring more often.
