planets are see through

my planets have gone semi clear and i dont know how to fix it. ive presed all kinds of buttons but none of them will do anything.

Do you have a sub-minimum requirements video card, particulaly a Radeon 9200? Try updating your video drivers to the latest available from the manufacturer's website.

but thats just it, i do and everything was working and i could see the planes then the planets just went see through. makes bombing them a lot less fun.

I've had a similar problem, but only briefly. I could still see the atmospheres, but not the planet surfaces. I saved and quit, then reloaded to find my planets were all restored to the proper consistency for nuking from orbit. Still haven't seen that again. If it's consistently happening, then you're in trouble.
