Video Clips Stuttering in TA but not in Original

About a month ago I installed the original Dread Lords in preparation for the TA expansion (not DA).  Played a few games, and had no problem with the video clips (e.g. videos of first colonization, anomolies, etc.).  I recently bought and installed DA and TA (1.91.021), and in my first game the video clips are stuttering horribly.  Perhaps because I have the AI/CPU cycle button toggled on?

For what it is worth, I have:

WinXP Prof/ASUS Extreme Striker 680i MB/2 GB mem/2x EGA 8800GTS (512)/Q6600 OC'd at 2.7Ghz

There were no other games/windows open and viral/spam, etc. were all disabled.

Check your anti aliasing it may be too high. Try turning it down one and seeing if that stops it.

For others that may have this problem - Lord Kona's suggestion worked like a charm. I was at the max. setting and dropped it down one. Thanks Kona-
