Version 6.10.081

Can anyone tell me if this is a new version or if its still the old 6.03 version that keeps popping up as an update?

Also, if this is new, does it support explorer backrounds?

My answer is: Yes and No ;-)

I have WB 6.10.081 installed on two computers, each with Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 and each with the StealthOS skin. On both machines I use the Marble2 Explorer background.

On computer #1 the background works fine both in Explorer minimized and maximized.
On computer #2 the background works fine in Explorer minimized but in maximized the background is white.

WB settings on both computers are exactly the same. I can't figure out why that is. Probably only Stardock and God (in that order) know the answer.

But the good news is that the rubbled and garbled icons in the notification bar of Vista x64 are gone. All icons are clear and beautiful now.

I noticed with this new version, when I try to double click on the windowblinds icon on my systray to open up the config, it doesn't open. Might be a bug.

There is no wbconfig.exe present in my WindowBlinds directory after updating to 6.10.081. I cannot open the config either from the system tray or via the Start menu, for that reason. The config utility doesn't exist anymore.

There is a wbconfig.exe.manifest file present, that is 665 bytes in size, but it seems like the installer doesn't download the new configuration executable properly, so you're left with WB6 in an un-configurable state.

EDIT: Update!

SDC apparently did not install WB6.10.081 properly on its initial attempt. I opened up SDC again, and it had the option to install 6.10.081 again, so I clicked that. It redownloaded it all, and completed the installation properly this time. wbconfig.exe was properly installed. Everything seems to be totally functional now.

I used SDC to download the 6.10.081 update initially, from version.. 6.02? 6.03? The last non-beta version, whatever that was.

When I opened SDC again, it said I hadn't installed the update so I installed it again and it worked properly the second time.

Everything seems to be fully functional now.
