the best example i can think of is trying to change my status on msn by right clicking on the icon on the taskbar

the initial list of tasks shows up, but when i go to change my status there, nothing shows up until i actually mouseover the choices (online, busy, away, etc..)

once i move over one, it appears.

im using the alienGUIse version, if that makes a difference.

i linked to a picture to give anyone who'd like to help a better idea of whats going on.

im pretty sure this happens in other places too, i just only remembered that it happens with msn because i see it so often.

anyone know what the problem is? :P

Are you using the latest version? A new one was just posted yesterday.
Try updating and then post your System Info from the Windowblinds config panel

I've had this kinda of problem with AutoCAD and I just set it to exclude the program.

This appears to be a bug\incompatibilty with some apps while using WB in XP, it doesnt happen in vista but it sure does in XP especially with MSN submenu's. Drives me crazy. Perhaps Neil will have a solution.

It does the same thing on my system, in Windows XP only though. In Vista the problem does not occur.

Same thing in Windows Live Mail, although some skins work fine, Copper Deck 2 is one that is fine, but most need to be moused over to see menu. RustyRooster works fine also, both have per pixel menus. SexyXP, per pixel menus works fine.

Edit: after testing a few more skins it is a per pixel vs .bmp thing, .bmp need to be moused over on sub menus to be readable.

Well, I just checked my MSN submenus in XP, and they work fine. I am using a WB skin that is being designed from the start using SkinStudio 6. When I applied a skin that was a port from a .msstyles, the problem does occur. So in my case it is evidently how SkinStudio 5 imported the .msstyles that is causing the problem. This may not be true for everyone, but since SkinStudio 5 is no longer being supported by Stardock, I don't think the problem is fixable unless you exclude MSN in your Windowblinds settings.
