Explorer Bckgrounds Dissappeared

Hello there people, I had a update to Windowblinds last nite, it updated 6.09h.[rc].138 to 6.10.079, in the process it seems to have taken windowblinds back to an earlier version and in doing so I have lost explorer backgrounds, I gather it is because it has taken it back to a earlier version, in Stardock central it stands at 6.10.079 and the same in Impulse: My Desktop, but when I open Windowblinds, this is what I get on the sys. tab

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.03 (build 45 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

This happened to me 3 or 4 updates ago, then just as suddenly, they re-appeared the update before this last one. Sorry I don't remember version #'s but I'm sure it didn't revert to an earlier version. I just waited and did without them, knowing a fix would come sooner or later.I still have them with this update, so it appears to be a random event. You might try restoring from archive if you don't want to go that route.Good Luck to you.

I have tried restoring from archive, same problem, and another problem to add to my woe's is when I open Impulse I no longer have the tabs at the bottom, is this just another glitch or must I re-install Impulse, thanx very much for the reply :CONGRAT:

Egads! The buttons are gone from Impulse. Again a little patience is in order, remember,Impulse is "under construction" and the buttons were an early tease. Maybe when they reappear, they'll be working. :CONGRAT:  I'll wait.

The 6.10.079 is not a good release at the moment. I hope you archived the program before updating. If so restore the 6.09h[rc].138 it is a good version. Also I have in Impulse the newest release at version 6.09i[rc].139 this is a good release. I have updated both my Vista and XP computers to it with no problems.
Be sure to have pre-release showing checked. To do that click the Stardock button at the top left for a drop down menu for such.
A restart is reguired!

Some additional info:

In SDC, I have the option checked to show me new updates as soon as SDC starts. That notification screen shows WB 6.09i[rc].139 available. I always click update later. Then in SDC, it shows WB 6.10.079 available.

Apparently two different versions from what SGT notes.

SDC lets you know about 6.09i[rc].139, but gives you 6.10.079 when updating at the main program interface.

I haven't tried updating from the initial notification screen to find if SDC will actually give you 6.09i[rc].139 from there.

I bet this how that has all happened pictoratus. I have updated mine not using sdc.
All my programs are now updated via Impulse. I have learned not to trust sdc for the time being. That will change soon enough though.
I'll bet you are right about it installing the wrong version in sdc with the prompt for said version. If you update for now - Please use Impulse!

I followed your advice regarding this, ShelbyGT (in IRC chat) and I'm glad I did. You saved me from screwing up. I really appreciate that! +1KP for you.
