missing files

I recently had to do a full system recovery on my computer. the game installed normally but when i try to follow the mod path it ends after i open the owner file. The appdata file is missing, so i can't go any further. is there any way to fix this. I still seem to be able to save games and maps but i cannot find the files that hold them.

Edit, i found them. If i use explore on the start menu it appears in the list of programs but not in "my computer" and it is not shown as an icon.
