How do i DOWNLOAD after purchase

from Stardock Forums

This is driving me insanse seriously , i purchased the Galactic civ II : TOA and apon purchase i got a page come up with details TOTALLY irrelevant.

The page has serial number and order number and gives me a link to stardock download (WOW THANXZ LIEK CAUSZ I DIDNT ALRDY HAVE STARDOCK INSTALLED TO PURCHASE THE GAME). No download link to the game so i start running around in circles trying to find the right spot. I look in my games for the product under both the Store tab and the actuall my games tab on stardock main page. After some more mucking around i decide to hit "Register product". I register my copy but nothing happens. IM just running around in circles trying to under stand wtf im supposed to be doing? i read the REAME but its useless. I read the Help pages and activation info pages again NO help. All they tell me is crap like "In the event you lose your serial blah blah blah" Oh gee thanx guyz but how about telling me how to ACTIVEATE the product and d/l it?

so frustraited wasted like an hour and 1/2 mucking around with this.

You know i have steam and its 129423049234234 times easier. LEFT click games tab ... WALLA activeation at bottom of page and list of games at top! why can't they just follow this?

TA is listed in SDC as a module of GalCiv2, since it requires it. Ergo you simply need to click on the + next to GC2 to reveal it.

Thanx for the fast reply. But i tried expanding the module folder of galciv2. Dark avatar shows up along with 3 sub folders , Tutorials , Movies and one other can't remember.But having no luck :( findin toa

In that case you may have an old version of SDC (you can get the latest from that link in the email), or you might need to refresh xml via the button in SDC's settings\internet. Also make sure you've got GalCiv2 and DA both registered on the same account already.

This what I ended up doing. Open up SDC and select Tools->Register Products...
In the window that opens up select My Games to the left. To the right under Product: select Galactic Civilization II/Twilight of the Arnor. In the Serial Number: box copy and paste your serial number from the email. Hit OK.

Now close that down (if it didn't close automatically) and select the Galactic Civilization II game under the main SDC My Games area. Open it up and you should see the TA expansion listed. Select it and an Install button should appear.
