GC2 & DA have run fine on my widescreen. I'm only 1440 x 900 but have had no problems with it running at that setting. Even set it up in the options of the program.

1680x1050 for me and it runs perfectly with no distortion other than a few of the cut scene movies.

hmm in dark avatar, i cannot select 1680x1050. and on startup i get an error message that my resolution is too low. maybe its because i have two monitors and the game tries to use both instead of just the primary one - or something.

Take a look in the prefs.ini file in my docs/my games/gc2(your version) and make sure the resolution is set correctly.

You can set it manually I think in prefs.ini.

The game area itself will be at the resolution you chose, but some pictures of leaders in pop up windows and, of course, the cut scenes will be a bit stretched, but you get so used to it after a while, that when you see the normal picture you say " Hey that looks weird"!

It always has. If you've got your monitors set in span mode via the nVidia multimonitor settings that might be the issue  since it'll present to the system as one extra wide display. Standard multimonitor mode should be fine.

they are normally configured through the windows inbuild multi-monitor setup. (Display-Properties->Settings):

Other games usually recognize the main monitors resoltution correct. so, not sure whats wrong here. i thought DA wouldnt support widescreen resolutions.

i will however try editing that prefs.ini file and see if it resolves the problem.

Thanks for that tipp :)
