Vista x64 SP1 (Outpost Security Suite, or SP1), boke entire ICON sub System!

Lost last 4.5 hours of work by installing iconpackager

Basically had a fully functional install, went to install iconpackager, on the working install, now no icons nothing (ICON Packager will not start at all), even after uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling and no program in C:\Program Files(x86)\... has an ICON (those in C:\Windows\ have ICONS), now I have to restore and wast another 4.5 hours reconfiguring the system. Not happy and a warning to others!
I expect the issue is with Outpost and it blocking some register edit, or else something to do with spaces since every icon in error says %20 and not space), but I have no proof for either failure, and I'm still out 4+ hours of time.

Just a head up, as I'm annoyed!
ERIC

Completely uninstalling ICONPACKAGER 3.99.144 (and rebooting) does fix the ICON problem, so at leastI'm not out 4+ hours of work, however it does not explain why installing it breaks almost all ICONS on the system though!

the 3.99 version of IP will not work on vista64 yet. i've been told a build that supports vista64 will be released very soon. if you can get IP3.20, it wil work on vista64 but does not have the new user-interface.

Thanks for the heads up, seems though that the program should be able to determine that the OS is 64bit and not install.
