Impulse won't run.

I've tried to run impulse but it " has encountered a problem and needs to close" and I have send an error report to Microsoft.

You can try downloading the full version through here:

http://storage.stardock.com/files/Impulse_setup_full.exe

This loads the whole of the program onto your computer though. Much larger file.

To Seabass, I had the local geek in to fix some other problems, and that's one thing he did. Previously it wouldn't even install.

Vista or XP?

To Zubaz, XP Media Center Edition 2005.

You can find it in Start | All Programs | Administrative tools | Event manager
I'd force a crash, then check these logs (so the error is at the top).
Then check teh application and the system logs.
If you see anything Impulse related take a screenshot or copy the text and post it here.

If you can email the crash log to support@stardock.com from the location Zubaz highlighted above.

I have an Impulse error file involving 31 lines of data. I can't find any menu item involving printing it all at once. It can be done with about 7 screen shots and no guarantees of getting every line.

Yeah .. they don't make it easy in XP.

Select the row
On the toolbar select the bulleted list with an arrow on it (Export)
At the bottom, check the "Save only selected row" And change the file type to comma seperated text.
Save, open, copy, paste.

Easy, right.   :NOTSURE:  ;)

I now have a 1028 x 665 bitmap image of the Impulse error data we've been discussing. What's the best way to send it ?

I just want to post a .jpg image here. It contains the error data we've been discussing

I sent the error data to Stardock support, and will eventually hear from them.

This link should go the image we've been discussing.. To DaveRI, the data doesn't appear all at once. I have to scroll through it, which still requires multiple images.

Exporting the log as text and pasting here would be easier I think.   :NOTSURE:

Thank you. It might be noted that the .NET referred to is one thing my system won't update.
