skin studio 6 and psp 7.0

compatibility issues???

I have opened a new skin in SS6. I then select the windows border (top frame) and click on the edit button. psp opens and tells me that it is unable to open the file. I can work around this however since I also encounter problems with tga files it makes me wonder if these two programs are 100% compatible??? any psp 7 users encountering similiar problems???

Open SKS6, Tools, Preferences, Advanced tab, make sure Do not convert TGA to PNG is unchecked, this will allow SKS to convert image to a PNG which will be editable in PSP.

No edit for replies.

Once make changes in PSP and save, in SKS6 click Force image reimport (F5).

When save changes in PSP SKS6 does not automatically make change as SKS5 did, thus reimport is needed. Hope they change this in the future.

the files are bmp files that do not open. the "do not convert" box has been unchecked. I actually have had this also occur is ss5 with bmp that were additional types (top frame-text background). SS6 has been converting png into tga files pretty good, which is one of the things I like about it.

thanks for responding
