Vista Support Not Available

Some would say No Duh, While noobs say "What?"

Okay, I had a headache, after trying forever and again to install, delete, uninstall, and do virtually everything to make this work in Windows Vista. I simply ran my own test. I created a sound in Stardock's "SoundPackager", and set it to run at the closing of any program. I ran IconX, and it shuts itself after about 0.2 seconds of being run. You don't even see it pop up. You can hit CTRL ALT DEL, and you'll still see that it's running. My only question is...

Where's the UPDATE?

IconX isn't compatible with vista yet, they are working on an update.

will the update be out before the next version of windows? i'm just saying, several ODN apps don't support vista yet, and vista has been out for a long time.

My guess is that there won't be an update. There are several Object Desktop applications which didn't make it from XP to Vista and apparently this is one of them. If there would be one, you would have had a reaction from a Stardock representative by now.
