STUPID presets ( AutoCAST ON ) on cap ships & target priority

Just played advent and uses the relevation battlecruiser. Its nice to disable enemy cap, but...

annoying thing first: the cap level up to 2nd level. You select the remote recon skill and what happens. Yeah guess.. ITS ON AUTOCAST and its casting on some random unexplored planet. WFT?!?! I WANT TO SELECT THE TARGET !!

Turn that damn autocast off by default, at least on that skill.

most stupidest thing: Reverie, nice skill disables ships, but WTF the cap prioritizes frigates before a enemy CAP?!?!? ARGHHHHHHH. Whats wrong with this AI. please do something against that.

There are plenty of other skill and other cases where the autocast just wastes antimatter.

"STUPID presets" in the thread's title : that will certainly impress Ironclad and Stardock officials !

They are going to immediately rush towards their offices, on a Sunday (no less), to comply with your wishes.

Anything else, Lord Customer ?

It's a fair point, just rudely expressed.

A simple solution would be to create a 3-second cooldown when purchasing new autocast-enabled capship powers. That gives you the right to pop over to the other menu and toggle autocast off.

Yep, right now the AI simply wastes mana if stuff is on autocast. It's usually best to turn all autocast off (well, nearly all ... I can't think of one right now but I'm sure there are 1-2 skills that are not thaat bad on autocast ;) ).

A preset to have all autocast off on unit spawn would be really great to have.
Better would of cause be a more intelligent AI autocast ;) But that will probably be a lot harder to implement. And it would take away even more from the player to do (I actually like micromanaging fleet battles).

its called emotional and the post title reflects my frustration when it actually happend. It made me retreat from a battle! Cause i didnt disable the radiance which in turn fired its combust antimatter onto my cap. Complete change of battle cause of this silly autocast!
