Install Issue

I just got the game today.
I installed it, but when it was 99% done it came up with this message

Error
 
Could not write value FCA21F9C0 to key \Products]7ef8ACCEA767ABC4D767A8C4D9AAAB6BF078C714\Features.   Verify that you have sufficent access to that key, or contact your personal support personnel


The game starts, options work, havn't tried to start a map yet.
using XP Home


Anyone know how to allow access, so that the key can be installed?
or how to add it manually?
or if it is a registry key as I think it is, a copy of the file so I can put it in manually? (Last resort)


Any Help is much appreciated

I think I am having the same problem as you, or along the same lines. Mine fully installed but every time I try to start a new map or new game it never loads. It just locks up.

If your not installing from an administrator account, switch to one and try the install again. If you are, you COULD try creating a new admin account and installing it from there, as the permissions file for the current account could be fragmented/somehow corrupted.

This sounds like a permissions issue. If you THINK your using an admin account, but there are multiple accounts on the computer, try it on an account you KNOW for certain is an admin account.

Worst case the registry file is partly corrupt. At that point there are several utilities you could try to use to fix it, including the WinXP boot CD repair tool, however the only surefire way would be to format the windows install.
