user account picture keeps deleting itself

okay so im using a theme, its an alienware one. im not sure if that makes a difference or not.

anyways, the picture that the theme forced on me was the alienware logo.

i didnt mind it, but i wanted to set my own, and since changing it normally always got reset to the alien, i went into the programs folder, found the picture that the theme forced on me, and replaced it with my own. i made sure to change the name to what the original picture was.

the problem is that now the picture gets deleted every once in awhile. not out of the folder, but it doesnt show up as my accounts picture anymore.

anyone know how to fix this?

haven't used the AlienGuise version - have used the Alienware skins

When they 1st came out, I already had ODNT and it asked me if I wanted to use their manager or SD's manager... but that was a long time ago

WB has the option to use the icon with the skin (if one is supplied) or to use your own

but it doesnt show up as my accounts picture anymore.

yeah, at first i thought maybe that would fix it, but it didnt.

what happens is that it deletes itself off the list of pictures associated with my account.

so when i go to change my account picture back, it shows up as if i dont have one set at all.

i believe windows xp just sets up the chess piece picture instead of leaving it blank on the login screen. so it doesnt actually change to that.

i hope that made sense.

does it only do this using AlienGuise?

yes

i fixed it though :]

the problem was that the picture i used to replace the original in the folder was too big.

it needed to be 48x48 pixels.

thanks very much for your time though :]
