Desktop X installation problem

I am trying to install Desktop X through stradock central. Unfortunatly it just keeps looping on the download process. It downloads dx.sdc over and over again, (as soon as it reaches 100% it starts again at 0% and does it all over again) never moving to the actual install proccess.
Has anyone else had this problem, does anyone know whats causing it or if there is a solution.

which OS?
which version of SDC?
do you have autoarchive turned on?

Windows XP
The newest version of SDC
I tried with both autoarchive on and off, same result.

I have since figured out a way to bypass this error for anyone else having the same problem.
I downloaded the trail version of desktop X from download.com and then used SDC to update it. The update process seemed to work fine, it is just the fresh install process that doesn't want to work.

I am having the exact same problem.Maybe it has something to do with it having an update yesterday.On XP mce.Will try your workaround tild99 ;)

Tild99 Stardock Central doesn't actually update any of our trial software. Can you check your registry for me and see if you have two for DesktopX? If it works I won't complain but that isn't as intended and I would like to get more details on the matter if you wouldn't mind.
