Invasion

Okay playing TA and got to the point of invading other worlds.  It seems I have to pick some sort of bombardment or tidal attack or whatever.  I can't simply invade anymore?

There should be the option for a good old-fashioned traditional invasion. The gas, information, orbiatl, and tidal attacks have been in since DA. Nothing *should* have changed except the screen art, etc. If your traditional warefare option doesn't come up, I'd report a bug.

I'll start up a new game and see, but to be honest it didn't bother me too much. You'd imagine in a war there would be some damage to a planets infrastructure.

In TA, most times you can't even use their structures anyway, so I always end their world with flood.

Did you happen to come across some of the planetary invasion techs in trade/espionage? If you didn't have the base invasion tech, that would explain the lack of the standard attack.

Which race/races tech tree were you playing?
