quicksave / autosave

hi there,

my game rarely crashes but when it does it's usually 1 minute before the next autosave and it usually pisses me off to replay the last 29 minutes.

so is there a way to reduce the autosave timer? a 5 minutes autosave would be great.
or is there a hidden quicksave shortcut? because I found neither in any options ingame or any gameinfo files I searched :(

Actually autosave fires every 15 minutes by default. You can change that manually in the user.setting file by just adjusting the AutoSaveTickFrequency value (it's in seconds). You can find user.setting as follows:

Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting

Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.
