So about this Windows theme...

Hi, I just got this game a couple of days ago, so far it looks pretty cool, a little confusing at first, but I'm getting the hang of it.  Anyway, to the point, the box says something about a windows theme included.  Where is this theme?  It seems like a SoSE theme could be cool. I tried finding it, but I couldn't.

The theme is part of Stardock's MyColors software, which you can get through SDC or downloading from Stardock.com. Afterwards, you can simply register your Sins serial # with it, since it doubles as registration for the Sins theme, and it will install it for you ;)

You'll need a Collector's Edition or Walmart purchase to get it, though.

I believe it comes with a theme not matter what,havent seen any proof otherwise.

If you did not buy the CE version, the theme is available for purchase here:

And no, it does not come with a theme no matter what. I got mine via Best Buy, have entered my serial into the MyColors theme registration, and it does not recognize the serial number.

If you ordered the game directly from Stardock, and have registered your serial number with them, then you should be able to download the theme from here:

Again, if you did not buy it from Stardock, or get the CE from a place like Amazon, Wal-Mart, or Fry's, then it has to be purchased separately.

Yeah, I downloaded Impulse, which CLAIMS that my serial number should be good for the theme, but it isn't. I can't get MyColors to let me download it, heh.

On the plus side, if it's that important to you, $10 is less than what the other themes cost.

Hey, nothing's preventing you from downloading MyColors and entering your serial into it to see if it gets authenticated. All I know is I bought mine from Best Buy on release day and no joy. Which meshes with what the developers say: these items only come from buying it from Stardock, buying CE box (two places which have it are Amazon and Fry's), or from Wal-Mart (haven't been there to see if they have some special version).

By the "the box promised", I mean that on the cardboard jacket of the box, it said it came with a windows theme. It didn't say anything about Wal-Mart. But hey, its just a theme. No big whoop, just something slightly annoying.

You could always try it to see if it works :P MyColors has a free download, so it won't cost you anything to try and see if the key is accepted.
