Liquid Dream problems

I recently bought stardock's liquid dream. It's great but I have a few issues... it covers up all of my icons so that I can't see them. Also the clouds option is greyed out and I can't change it. And right clicking on the desktop does nothing instead of bringing up the usual menu. Here is a couple of pictures of what I'm talking about...

I'm honestly say that is a new one. Basics first. Are you on the latest build of Deskscapes? Have you updated your video drivers and codecs?

I had the same problem this morning . . I wonder if it had something to do with Window updates.

Using any dream, dynamic or video was layered on top on my desktop icons.
Switched back and forth to static wallpaper to no avail.
Stopped and restarted explorer.exe . . . nothin'
Rebooted . . all is well.

Vista Business with CCCP codecs.

What video cards do either of you have? I'm hunting for this one common thread here.

Thanks for the reply. Here are my system specs:

Latest Deskscape build: 1.95.[b].028 (updated 3/12/2008)

EVGA 780i motherboard
Intel Q6600 cpu processor
2x GeForce 8800GTS 512mb SLI gpu's (I tried turning SLI off, but I still have problems)
4gb G. Skill DDR 1000 memory
RAID 0 2x320gb Samsung HD's
Windows Vista x64 OS

My video drivers are Nvidia's current beta... 169.44 http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_169.44.html

The issues are not only limited to the liquid dream.. but all dreams that I have. I used to have deskcapes on my old computer and it ran flawlessly. Even with my upgraded computer, dreams seem to run slower, almost lagging. Hope you guys can fix it!

Edit: Also.. my resolution is @ 1900x1200. Thinking high resolution might be the culprit.. I turned it all the way down to 800x600, but still had the same issues.

I have good news!

I've resolved all my issues by mistake. I opened up Windowblinds and switched the theme to "Dragon" that I had downloaded, but I'm sure by switching to any other theme would have done the same thing. However, the Dragon theme crashed windows explorer.. but after it restarted, I set it back to the Aero theme using Windowblinds and .dreams started working flawlessly.

Maybe Deskscapes didn't agree with my previous theme which I had never actually changed until just now by using Windowblinds. All .dreams run much faster and smoother, they don't cover up my icons anymore, and I can right click on the desktop to bring up the menu now. I don't know what the problem was before, but I'm glad its all fixed now.

Another question... does the Dragon and Molten theme have issues with higher resolutions like 1900x1200? They both crash windows explorer, but I don't have problems w/ any other theme.

No the that is as high as the current resolutions go. That is interetesting to hear about how the two might have clashed. Thank you very much for updating us on the matter. If you have further info or questions please let us know at support@stardock.com.
