Game crash on startup.

When I start up Sins, the entire screen goes black and I am then treated to a lovely window of my regular windows desktop, just with a black square (about 1024x768 in resolution) covering the top left corner of my desktop. From my running applications, it's clear that this blob is Sins of a Solar Empire. The problem is, nothing happens. I can't press escape, I can't press the mousebutton, nothing happens. If I close the window, I get a MiniDump error and a crash to desktop. Any help possible?

go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting open user.setting with notepad and put FALSE instead of TRUE on these two lines:
ShowIntroMovies TRUE (line53)
ShowOpeningCinematic TRUE (line 54)

the game should start perfectly after you do that
