Bonus Tiles

I for one would really like (and make use of) a toggle option at the galaxy setup screen for bonus tiles on/off.  (Note: I'm NOT asking for a frequency or value slider, and I don't want one.  I like the real life luck factor involved with bonus tiles.)

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea-I love bonus tiles.  I even love the food bonus tiles, if only because every so often I want to try a 100B planet again.

I'd just like the ability to be able to play completely without them, largely to be on as supremely even footing with the AI as possible.

I'm curious to see if anyone else feels the same way, but also what the odds are of it making it into the game (in any version).

Hi!

For that you'd also need to turn off galactic resources. IMO if something is unballancing, then it is having two more military resources than other players have.

I would also like to be able to toggle the bonus tiles. I am still trying to develop strategies involving different initial settings, and the random bonus tiles make it harder to evaluate the results.

And multi-quoting still isn't working properly.

@Iztok

Valid point.

Anyone up for a toggle option for those, too? Please?

as far as im concerned, the more starting options the better,

I think an option similar to the number of planets would be good, with the option being....rare....scattered....abundent and Off

Bonus tiles feel strange ... what exactly is a precursor library? Which letters do they use and do you need a library card?

Most of the time, you start on even grounds with the AI. If you start on a lonely planet, it will be rich and abundant on asteroids and vice versa.

So for me, that option is not necessary. But the more options you have, the better.
