Precursor Power

Has anyone else gotten the message that a random enemy (usually a main race) has obtained some Precursor artifact and will slowly gain power until they become the most powerful force in the galaxy? It's happened three times to me. Once, The Torians got it and did get that way and won the game. The second, the Altarians got it and got wiped out (by me) like 50 turns later...what's the deal?

If I remember correctly each turn the race gets +1 to all of it's abilities. So given enough time their attack and defense ratings would be huge and they would take over the galaxy.

It's +1 to a random ability each turn. It generally takes a while before they get any significant benefit out of it, but it can run up indefinately if you ignore them long enough.

I'm sure you could recieve any random event in the game happen to you. In fact you might want to try picking 'luck +25%' to see if it helps increase your chance of random events happening to you. ;)

Some events really can't happen to the player. This is one of them, as are the PQ35 artifact and the Dark Arnor events.
