Mouse drag

When using the fairly new "LMB space-drag" function to scroll and the pointer get to the end of the screen the other scroll function kicks in and moves the screen back. Is it possible to deactivate the old scroller (the censitive screen edges) while the LMB still is pressed and scrolling using the new system? Sure it would be reactivated when LMB is released...
