How Do You Choose Your Position On The Issues?

How do you choose your position on the issues when you create a candidate? I'm able to create my candidate, but I can't figure out how to choose my stances on the issues.

You do it during the elections. Your speeches and ads, and to a lesser extent endorsements, set your positions. If you want to be a pro-choice republicans, advertise that you support abortion rights and give speeches on it.

Frankly that is just nuts... How you start in the polls in each state should be dependent on the voter's perception of your position on the issues. Clearly each state leans toward one candidate or another at the start of each campaign on each issue, so somewhere "hidden" in the code, clearly the candidates have "positions" on the issues at the start of each campaign.

But, you can easily change your opinion. In California, I was running ads against my opponent saying he favored a strong military. This helped me win California---meanwhile, I was lucky enough to get a war hero, and I put him in Virginia where I cruised to victory. It just matters. Whatever is important. Sometimes---very rarely---the newspaper or media might get mean and say that your flip-flopping (I'm not really sure actually), but it doesn't really matter in this game. It is strictly fun, rather than more statistics and all that mumbo jumbo---not like President Forever.
