sliders

Currently the military/social/research sliders position is saved. Or anyway, I started a game, played a few turns, went to main menu and started a new. The new game had the old game's slider-positions and values. Is it an accident or as you planned it?

Umm...it wasn't really planned. I sometimes find it useful, unless my economy in the last game went down the tubes...

I find that I generally start with the same settings for all the sliders on this window (tax rate, spending rate,
social/military/research %) then adjust them as I feel needed during the game. I think this is the reason I was
supprised some time ago that the current settings were saved in the .ini instead of with the game. My preference
would be to save the positions at the start of the game in the .ini file and the current settings with the saved
game. This would make it easier for us when the save/reload feature gets expanded to support multiple game files.
