Bug Fixed!!!

Well, I discovered that the bug is caused due to an addon I downloaded from the library. Now the problem is finding which one of the hundreds is giving the problem. I have decided to reinstall the game and only install FrogBoy's addons from now on. It's sad though, because I have found lots of interesting and creative ones. I wish there was a way of authenticating these addons before posting them online. That way it would be bug-free.

As much as I championed the non-typical-corporate approach Stardock/Brad takes in another thread, I think hosting untested, unapproved mods the way they are now on the corporate website is bad form.

Many end users, right or wrong, will assume if it came from the official site, it's official. And when problems occur, they're not going to look for Citizen 'I had a cool idea', they'll be whining to the official channels.

I know they're busy, I know it's a small staff, but until the game designers themselves can give a thoughtful thumbs up to any given mod it has no place being hosted on the official site imo.

Which add on was it that was the problem?

I agree with Code Monkey 100%. Everything that is posted on the web site should be considered official. I mean, even some of the pictures in those mods are copyrighted and shouldn't be used. The staff should take about 2-3 minutes to test each mod out before publishing them. I mean, look at the Religion mod, that picture is ridiculous. It brings down the professional look of the game.

Tandis, the only way to figure out which mod is the problem-causer is to install each one of them and play after each installation. I really would rather not install any of the third-party mods rather than checking if each one works. As of now, I'm only donwloading FrogBoy's mods due to his reputation.

problem ones:

Labour Unrest - change the name to LabourUnrest on the second line, it should be Labour Unrest, notice the spacing?

my party pack was updated last night and today, so just redownload it and paste it in :)

So essentially you want to get rid of user mods?

We are (next week) going to visually provide a distinction between a certified or uncertified mod. Hopefully that'll help. I'd also like to have a comments section into that.
