I demand you fix the automatic micromanagement.

Works fine for me. I use it all the time.

First off, you're way out of line coming onto a board set up for your benefit and demanding things.

Second, are you sure you're doing it right? Did you actually click on the items that you wanted built in the order you wanted them built?

Governors are more of an pre-assigned build queue. They'll build things in order of how you assigned them (or, for generic', in the order they are researched), but they'll never build their own lists (Brad stated elsewhere why he disagrees with giving AI to the planetary governors).

If you're problem is with your generic governor list running out of things to build, you have 2 options.

1. Transfer funds from Social Production to Research or Military (DOmestic Economics screen), or
2. Research more technologies that give you more improvements. If you're going down the military path, you'll discover less social projects than going down other technology paths.

Hopefully these suggestions will help (or be free to correct me if I misunderstood your problem).

I don't know if this is the issue, but I had problems where if I used the top governor it worked, if i used the second governor, nothing was done.

You realize that with every governor except the Generic one, you have to set the build queue yourself, right?

Yes, you have to set the build queue for each governor and then you have to *assign* that governor to each planet you want to use it. It's not automatic.
