When's my copy of GalCiv gonna get here?!

I ordered it the day it came out, and it's been 16 days and I still haven't gotten it! My modem's really slow, so I can't download it. Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm in Germany... I'd just like a good estimate on when I can expect to start building my trade empire!

I emailed Stardock sales a few days ago and they told me that they ran out of CDs. Since I'm in Europe also I can expect mine the end of next week. Some masochistic impulse keeps me hanging around here.

They ran out because the demand was much greater than anticipated. Mine still hasn't come.

A whole new batch came yesterday and we worked like dogs to get them shipped out. What didn't go out yesterday is going out today and we should be all caught up. Don't think the post office was too pleased with all the containers we required.

Took some pictures of what the conference room looked like afterwards. Will try to get those up somewhere.

Normally I wouldn't make admissions to exactly how stupid I can be, but I find that occasionally making self-deprecating comments about yourself can be very, ahh, humbling.

I didn't check the mail yesterday because for some reason I expected that my wife or son had already performed that important task. This morning, this SUNDAY morning, the morning on which no mail is delivered, I find my GalCiv envelope on the dining room table. How did that get there? (Sudden realization:) OOOOOh, it did come yesterday and I was too much of a moron to check the mail. Then I come on here and whine that I didn't get mine.

Flog me now or flog me later?

Nothing here in France, I ordered an March 26th, 2.00 AM EST ... Already there was shortage ?? ;p
But well, thanks ADSL, I dled everything on the same day ... well nearly on the same day, the server was sooooo sloooooooow it ended on the 27th ! LOL

Mine came in Saturday. Patience, everyone else - they'll ship yours in as soon as they get more in stock. See above in the thread; Stardock ran out of CD's and had to order a whole bunch more. Hell, AMAZON.COM is having trouble keeping the game in stock. That, my friends, is success.
