Election night

In the 80's, SSI (Strategic Simulations, Inc) had an election game, One of the more appealing features was election night. Using a simulated time clock, which could be real-time or faster as desired, the results dribbled out, early results from the east coast, partial from the midwest, etc. You could either sit and wait or skip to the next declaration. Election night is part of the fun. I hope that there will not simply be a final results screen flashed up at the end of the game.

There is an election night phase in Political Machine, very much like President Elect (the SSI game you mentioned) or for that matter very much like real life. The results come in one state at a time, from the eastern time zone working west. My only quibble about it is that in PM the returns flash by too fast. As you're savoring your upset in Illinois, say, the returns from six or seven other states zip by. If there's an option that gives you control over this, I haven't found it yet. Hopefully there will be such an option in the final game.
