Manuals

I'm always curious.
Always asking people about something or other on this forum it seems.

So, I noticed complaints about the manual (who reads the manual...?), and I looked at it and thought it was on par with most these days.

What do people consider to be a good manual, I mean which ones as examples if possible?

I think I remember Baldur's Gate being good.
I remember the second one being spiral bound I think, which was great!

I remeber these manuals as being quite good:

-Civilisation
-Master of Orion 2
-SMAC
-Fallout 2
-Falcon 4 (although the game itself was a bit of a mess at release)

F-19 from Microprose (1989). Fat book, full of details.

Check modern strategy guides. They really stink.
Look at the strategy guide to 'Master of Magic' - it's brilliant.
